I’ve been following Kris Carr for a while now, and I absolutely love her! If you haven’t watched “Crazy sexy cancer” you are definitely missing out!

“Crazy Sexy Cancer is more than a thought provoking documentary, it’s an attitude! It’s about rising to the challenge of life and turning lemons into champagne.” Kris Carr

I will add that the mind is a crazy sexy instrument, what you feed it, your body will believe and follow, and vice versa.

Self-care is vitally important! Take care of your mind, reduce stress and be kind to yourself. I believe our purpose is about discovering and nurturing who we truly are, and not what others expect of us.

Miss Representation

by

Looking for something to watch tonight? Miss Representation is one of my favorite documentaries, and I’m sure you’ll enjoy it too!

Miss RepresentationIt’s no shock to anyone who has turned on the TV, read a magazine, spied a billboard or surfed the internet that media representations of women are problematic at best.
While women have made great strides in leadership over the past few decades, In a society where media is the most persuasive force shaping cultural norms, the collective message that young women and men overwhelmingly receive is that a woman’s value and power lie in her youth, beauty, and sexuality, and not in her capacity as a leader.

Miss Representation doesn’t break new ground or uncover anything that wasn’t pretty much known before, but will likely be useful to teenage girls who are perhaps unaware of the media bias.

With love & kindness!

Take a little break…

Daily afternoon mint tea breaks are mandatory in Morocco!
With so many terrible things going on around the world, afternoon tea might be one of the few times when you can slow down and revert back to a more innocent era, or escape into a fantasy world and indulge in much-needed ‘me time’. Who’s with me?

Homemade eye cream

by

As you may already know, Argan Oil works perfectly well, by itself, for the eye area. But if you like to use creams, know that nothing is more effective or safe than an organic homemade one, that has not been diluted with water, or processed by chemicals.

100% Pure Argan Oil

There are several reasons that choosing to invest in homemade skin products is the right choice :

Over the counter store products contain several severe chemicals that clog pores and can potentially damage skin. They all claim to have the elixir of youth in their eye treatment creams, gels or serums which came at a price both financially and possibly with harmful side effects.

And, the main ingredient inside store bought skin cream is water. In order to stop any mold growth in by the water base, paraben preservatives are added to the product. The paraben helps to preserve the cream and lengthen its shelf life. These parabens are known to cause both cancer and reproductive harm!

I chose Argan Oil, Plum Oil and Jojoba Oil. These ingredients are power houses in terms of skin benefits, they’re loaded with vitamin E which contains a multitude of antioxidants that protect and repair the skin.

Ingredients

I also added an emulsifying wax, that will act as a stabilizer and thickener. We all know the frustration to be found when the water and oil in our creations separate, emulsifying wax helps rid us of this persistent problem.

Emulsifying wax

This eye cream is a fantastic natural product that is 100% chemical, toxin and synthetic fragrance free. What you’ll need:

  • 1 Table spoon Argan Oil
  • 1 Table spoon Jojoba Oil
  • 1 Table spoon Plum Oil
  • 1/2 Table spoon emulsifying wax

Fill in a pot with couple inches of water, and heat until the water boils. Combine Argan Oil, Plum Oil, Jojoba Oil and the emulsifying wax in a small bowl, put the bowl in the pot (Bain-marie).

MixMix together until they’re blended (About 3min), set aside and let it cool.

Eye cream

When firm, dap the mixture into a jar and you’re ready for application

Say bye to store bought creams altogether!

With love!

Flawless summer skin

by

The heat, chlorine, salt water and humidity take their toll on your skin in the summer months, but the #1 cause of wrinkles is sun exposure.

Argan Oil - Aloe Vera Emulsion

Argan Oil – Aloe Vera Emulsion

This Aloe – Argan Oil is a perfect summer food for your skin.

Aloe both soothes tired skin and has antibacterial properties. It’s a product used to heal the skin from damaging effects caused by over-exposure to the sun’s harmful rays.

The unique combination of antioxidant and moisturizing properties in Argan Oil help maintain skin elasticity while preventing moisture loss that can contribute to the aging process.

You can add the essential oil of your choice. I chose Sweet orange for its light smell.

Mix equal parts of Argan Oil and Aloe Vera gel, and a drop of your essential oil. Use it after sun exposure, instead of your night cream, or Argan Oil by itself. And you can thank me later.

And of course, regular application of sun protection and a good home skin care regimen are your best defense against the sun.

Be wise..
